يجوز له أن يدعها في البيت ويذهب للحج أو العمرة أو للصلاة أو للجهاد أو لحاجاته الخاصة في التجارة ، لا بأس بذلك كله.
وإذا كانت الزوجة تستوحش فعليه أن يجعل عندها من الخدم من يؤنسها ، أو يسمح لها أن تذهب عند أهلها للوحشة التي تصيبها ، أو إذا كان عليها خطر ، فيجمع بين المصلحتين ولا يلزم أن تذهب معه كلما سافر.
